What you will be doing:

As a Trainee Strategy Research, you actively contribute to form the view on main trends in fixed income markets and to develop executable trade ideas and investment/hedging strategies to support sales and trading. Your functional tasks include:

  • Monitor and analyze markets and economic data
  • Contribute to shaping the overall research view on Euro area and US fixed income markets
  • Provide support to the team with respect to market analysis, preparation of research notes and trade ideas
  • Contribute to the day-to-day activity of the FI research unit (publications and morning calls)
  • Prepare client presentations

You also match with the following requirements:

  • Strong macro-economic background (university degree in Economics/Finance or STEM disciplines is required, Masters in Finance / Economics will be a plus)
  • Good quantitative and econometric background
  • Good understanding of fixed income products
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to react very quickly to news in the market and provide interpretation to internal/external clients
  • Fluency in German (preferably mother language)
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
